These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and services provided by UNSEENPRESS COLLECTIVE C.I.C. (“UNSEENPRESS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our platform known as DISTRO CLUB, accessible at https://www.unseenpress.org
(the “Site”).
By using our Site, platform, or services, or by registering as a Member, Vendor, or Buyer, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
If you do not agree, you must not use the Site or Services.
1. About UNSEENPRESS
UNSEENPRESS COLLECTIVE C.I.C. is a community-interest company dedicated to supporting photographers and artists in creating and distributing photo-zines, photo-books, photo-posters, and other book-art publications (“Publications”).
We operate as:
A multi-vendor marketplace connecting Vendors with Buyers;
A community platform for collaboration, fellowship, and education;
A publishing and distribution service supporting independent creators.
UNSEENPRESS acts as an intermediary and payment processor. We do not own, create, sell, resell, or fulfil any Publications listed by Vendors.
Sales contracts are formed directly between Vendors and Buyers.
1. Definitions
“Vendor”: a user approved to list and sell Publications.
“Buyer”: a user purchasing Publications via the platform.
“Member”: a registered user engaging with community resources.
“Publications”: creative works listed for sale (photo-zines, books, posters).
“Services”: the Site, marketplace, community features, payment system, and related offerings.
“Content”: all text, images, and materials uploaded or shared via the Site.
3. Accounts and Membership
3.1 Registration
You must provide accurate, current information.
You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
You must be 18 or over (or have parental consent if under 18).
One person = one active account.
3.2 Responsibilities
You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Notify us immediately of unauthorised use.
We may suspend or terminate accounts violating these Terms.
3.3 Community Guidelines
Treat others with respect.
No harassment, hate speech, or discrimination.
Respect intellectual property rights.
Use the platform lawfully and constructively.
4. Vendor Obligations
By applying and being approved as a Vendor, you agree to:
Accuracy: Provide truthful and complete product listings.
Rights: Confirm ownership or rights to sell listed works.
Fulfilment: Dispatch items promptly and securely.
Quality: Ensure items match descriptions and are free from undisclosed defects.
Returns: Cooperate with refund and return requests.
Conduct: Communicate professionally with Buyers and UNSEENPRESS.
Compliance: Follow all applicable laws, including tax obligations.
Integrity: Do not attempt off-platform sales or bypass fees.
We may suspend accounts that breach these obligations.
5. Buyer Obligations
Buyers agree to:
Provide accurate shipping and contact information;
Pay the full listed price and shipping fees;
Report damaged or misdescribed items within 14 days of delivery.
6 Financial Terms
6.1 Transactions
UNSEENPRESS processes payments via secure third-party providers (e.g. Stripe, PayPal).
6.2 Fees
UNSEENPRESS retains a 15% commission on all sales (excluding shipping).
Payment processor fees may also apply.
No setup or monthly vendor fees.
6.3 Vendor Payouts
Vendors are paid monthly, within 30 days of confirmed delivery.
Payments are made via bank transfer or PayPal.
Vendors are responsible for their own taxes.
6.4 Refunds
Refunds may be issued for non-delivery or damaged items.
Returns for “change of mind” are at Vendor discretion.
Disputes are resolved per payment processor terms.
7. Returns and Cancellations
Buyers must contact UNSEENPRESS within 14 days of delivery for faulty or incorrect items.
We may request evidence (photos, description).
Vendors must cooperate in providing refunds or replacements.
Vendors may cancel orders if items are unavailable.
8. Intellectual Property
Vendors retain ownership of their creative works.
By listing, Vendors grant UNSEENPRESS a limited licence to display and promote products.
UNSEENPRESS retains rights to all Site design, code, and original resources.
Users must not reproduce or distribute platform materials without permission.
9. Privacy and Data Protection
We process data according to our Privacy Policy
, which complies with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.

We collect only necessary information.
Data is protected and never sold.
You can exercise rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection.

We are not liable for downtime losses.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
The Services are provided “as is.”
We are not responsible for Vendor or Buyer actions.
Our liability is capped at fees paid to us in the prior 12 months.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
14 .Dispute Resolution
We encourage resolution directly between users.
Our support team can mediate.
These Terms are governed by English law, and disputes fall under the courts of England and Wales.
15. Termination
You may close your account at any time.
We may terminate accounts for breaches.
Outstanding transactions must be completed.
16. Changes
We may update these Terms periodically.
Changes are effective upon posting. Continued use = acceptance.
